2026 "Doers of the Word" Bible Reading Plan (Click Here)
Our 2026 Bible reading plan will be a replay of the plan we used in 2022, ‘Doers of the Word’. It was well received at that time and we want to bring it back. The idea is to be doers of the word, not just hearers (readers) - inspired by James 1:22-25. We will have daily readings centered around the six components of the statement of purpose (discipleship, inviting, hospitality, maturing, sending, intergenerational). We will focus on one per month, then move to the next and repeat the cycle twice during the year (6 months times 2). As with the plan in 2022, we would encourage reflection and relating (partnering with someone else to discuss it). The ‘doers’ portion is encouraging us to put the word into practice ... to do it. As the ESV says, to ‘be doers”. We want to be hearers (readers) AND doers. The doing could be done alone, with your reading partner, or with others in the church (class, small group, family, etc.).
